My review of the year.

The Eighth Week Of Term Four.

Bonjour everyone! Common cava? Hello everyone. How are you? I LOVE FRENCH!!! The year is nearly over and I am so excited about it. It is now December, the month merry-ness and joy! I made a video of myself that I might post or I might delete it so no one can see it. It is nearly finished loading. I don't think that it is very good, but then again, anything that has me in it I don't think is good at all. Next week are the orientation days. Orientation day is when the year sevens get to show around the year sixes that will be in our class next year. Even though I'm excited, I'm also kind of nervous. I don't want to make a fool of myself in front of my soon to be class mates. I'll write again next week after orientating the peeps.

Paramore lyrics: All we know

Week 7!!!

OMG!!!!!!! It's nearly the end of the year! SOOOO EXCITED!! I've finished making my video so I'll post it when I've finished writing this. I'm drawing 3D shapes in maths and I just realized I was doing it way larger than I needed to. Oops. I'm so annoyed right now. This guy is on a ladder putting things on the wall, but he doesn't care that the clock is CROOKED!! AAHHHHH!! Anyway, he's down now, so oh well. I'm bored, as usual. We have sport this after noon and I'm hoping that I can get a serious injury before then, but I probably can't. Okay, so I'm going to post my video now, so I'm just going to warn you: It's not that great, especially if you know the song. Bye.

Week 6

Hi. So, my school has it´s big art exhibition and auction on this week. I´ve been very busy helping to get it ready, beading, cleaning, advertising. It was a lot of hard work, but it was worth it. I saw it on Wednesday after school, and it was so cool. I even had some art in there myself. I´ve nearly finished another YouTube video so I might post it when it´s done. It is lyrics for the Paramore song ´All we know´. I would be very disappointed if you don´t know who Paramore are, so you might need to do some research. JOKING! Anyway, I don´t know who you are, and it would be wrong to be disappointed in a stranger. I´m so happy right now because I´m up to date in my school work! I´m sorry that I didn´t write very much but I´ll post again soon! Bye.

Week five

Hi. I'm back. This is hard. I have been behind in my post so I've been trying to catch up, but my life is confusing so I keep forgetting what happened when. I think I've caught up now. It's week five and I'm posting about week five so yeah, I'm okay now. I finished my video so I'll post it after this. We had our 1500  metre run today and it was tiring. I'm making sweet pin-wheels tomorrow in food tech so I'm excited. My cousin's party was fun. I have got to go so bye and I'm about to post my video.

Week four

OMG. It was Halloween on Saturday and it was sooo fun. We got into Halloween costumes, did our make-up and nails, took pictures and zoomed off to Jump. I think my costume was alright but my wig and coat were a bit much. The other people at the party had really cool costumes; there was a vampire, a broken doll, zombies, a witch and a spider-ballerina (or as I called it 'Spiderina'). It was so fun. There was a 'Lights Out' there so the only lights that were on were disco ones. I also have my cousins party this weekend on Sunday. We're just going to hang out around his place and we'll have a water fight. Wow. It's now November. Christmas next month. I am soon excited for it. It is the day everyone celebrates present and getting stuffed until you're about to burst, though apparently it's all about giving. Oh well. Either way, YAY! We are making YouTube videos in class for an English so I'll post it when I'm finished. I'm going to make more videos as well so I'll post them, too. Well, I'm going to go now. Bye.

Halloween on Saturday!

As you can probably tell from the title of this post, it's Halloween on Saturday. 'Get ready to get your SPOOKS on!' MWAHAHAHAHA!!! *Cackle*Cackle*Lightning*Thunder* It will be fangtastic. Hahaha. The testing to get in my class is next week and I can't wait to see who my possible new classmates will be next year. I still can't believe how close it is to the end of the year and how close it is to the start of next year. It is nearly November, the month that celebrates moustaches! I should get a marshmallow and draw a moustache on it with icing, take a picture with it and then eat it. It actually sounds quite nice... Anyway, let us put an end to my pathetic day-dreaming. I'll write soon. Toodles.

Week two

Okay, so I'm super excited because it is Halloween on Saturday next week. It just keeps coming closer! I'll be going to my friends party and have some super fun! I'll go to Jump from 8:00 til 10:00pm, and it'll be lights out, so it will be nice and dark on the spookiest day of the year! I can't wait. We are doing food tech arts soon which is probably favourite one of all yay. I have got to go but I will write again later.

TERM FOUR OMG

Hi guys, I'm sooooo sorry I haven't posted in ages! :( I've been quite busy. It's term four now, last term of the year. The year has gone by so fast! I can't believe the year is nearly over! It seems like it was just yesterday I walked through my classroom doors for the first day of school. *Tear*
Something else I can't do is wait for HALLOWEEN!! I have plans for the spookiest day of the year! I'm going to my friends B-day par-tay! We'll go swimming in her pool then dress up in our Halloween costumes! I'm going as Harley Quinn (the Joker's girlfriend, for those who are un-educated)!! MOO-HA-HA-HA-HA!!! *Cackle* *Cackle* *Lightning* *Thunder*    Harley Quinn is so cool, and she is a harlequin. Harley Quinn the harlequin!
I can't wait for more school stuff to happen so I'll write again later! Bye

Week two of term three.

Ello. (That means hello.) I'm back. We are preforming a haka tomorrow(Friday) as an inter-house competition. I hope we win. I am very excited for Saturday because it is my BIRTHDAY!! :-) I'll be twelve. I have handed in my persuasive/argument writing but not my speech. I have finished it but it is too short. I guess I could still do it, saves me having to do it in the finals! I will do as much more as I can by Friday. I have achieved my Never give up and my seeking Excellence S.H.I.N.E. bands. Now I just need H.I. to get a Bronze S.H.I.N.E. badge. We have the College Expo(Expedition) this afternoon that everyone is going to, it is apparently really fun. Well, that's me, I'll write again soon. Bye-Bye.

Week One of Term Three (Back at School)

Hey peeps! I is back!!! How goes it? I don't care extremely (no offence). The holidays are over (tear) and we are back at school. We are doing sewing for tech arts (tech-technology). I have made a soft tennis ball to throw at my family and also a pencil case. They look real cool. In maths we are doing algebra and I am in group 1 (that is the highest group other than the extension), not to brag. We are doing persuasive/argument writing and I am writing 'Cats are better pets than dogs'. We have to hand it in Friday next week. We also have to hand in our speeches Friday next week and I am nearly done. Yay. Okay I'll write again next week. Bye.

LAST WEEK OF TERM TWO!!!!! :)

Hey guys, it's the last day of the term today! YAY! The production finished two weeks ago  :(   It was so much fun. We have started writing speeches. Mine is called 'Bullying, is it beneficial for anyone?' Cool name, don't you think (it's okay to say no). I really want to finish my cupboard today. We have our last lesson for design/hard materials in tech arts today. I've already made a really cool light box and three spin tops.
I'll write again after the holidays hopefully. See you.

Week 7 Term 2

Hi peeps. How have you been? I have been busy. The production is improving. My friend, Dani, the mayor in the production, has beautiful high-heels to go with her costume. You can read about that on the blog named 'Purple Lover'. I am one of the fans in the production. (I am a fan because it is called 'Battle of the Bands') The fans have to wear bright shirts, but I get an exception. After I say my line (three words, YAY!!!) I am referred to as 'the one in the white t-shirt' and get dragged of of the stage by the security guards (leaving in style, whoop whoop). In class, we have started doing area, perimeter, volume and circumference for maths.

week 5 of term 2

Hello, I'm back. It has been a long time since I have written. In class we have been learning about information report writing and note taking, we are writing a report on penguins based on notes we took from information we read. We have also been learning about percentages in math. I am a bit behind, though. I probably won't catch up unless I come in at lunches and work before school as well as during math time in class. I don't like to be behind. I also have to finish my art since we aren't doing it for tech arts anymore. We are going to start hard materials (wood, plastic, etc.) tomorrow/Friday. We have got new furniture this morning (YAHOO!!! :D). I'm not using it though. We got two small tables and a lot of round pillows, maybe 16. I have other stuff to do so bye.

Term Two, Week One

Hello, I am back from the holidays. I had a chocolaty Easter, how about you. This week we rearranged the class, we got rid of four small tables, moved around the three larger tables, three desks, etc. Some people sit on the floor, but they don't mind, they want to. We have started writing character descriptions in class. Mine is half way done, I think. We are doing this thing in class called 'Passion Hour', were you spend an hour doing something you are passionate about. My passion is art, like sketching and colouring, but not paint. I am doing it with my friends, Grace and Megan. We took French on Wednesday. I love going to French. It is so much fun. Today we had an ANZAC service assembly. I learnt quite a lot.

Wellington camp 2015!

Day 1/Sunday

We all arrived at school on Sunday at 9:00.a.m to leave for Lower Hutt Park where we would be staying for the week in Wellington. We loaded our bags onto there storage area under the bus (but not our day packs, they had our lunch) and were on our way. The ride was 7.5 hours long including stops.

The ride was tiring, a few people fell asleep. Half way there we stopped to eat our lunch in Taihape. We played ball-rush and did gymnastics. Then we hit the road.

When we got to our camp site, Mrs Crowe gave us our room keys and we ran to our cabins. I was sharing a cabin with my friends Casey and Amelia. They are both Year 8's. We sorted our beds out, I had the top bunk, Casey had the bottom bunk and Amelia had the single bed. After that we went exploring. We found the big Jumping Mat/Pillow and played on it until dinner-time. I can't remember what we had for dinner, but I'm pretty sure it was yummy.

After dinner we had showers and went to bed. We had to sleep with the single bed in front of the door because Amelia's mum didn't like us being easy to get to in the night and we weren't aloud to lock the door at night in case of a fire.

We fell asleep easily, tired out from the bus ride.

Day 2/Monday

Mrs Crowe woke us up at 7:00.a.m. We got dressed, ate breakfast, made lunches, packed our day packs and then we were off.

First we went to Zealandia. We had a tour around the sanctuary in two groups. We can't remember our tour guides name, though. We saw Takahe, Fantails, Tuatara and other animals as well as some plants. We learnt the difference between Native and Endemic. Native animals breed in New Zealand and are found in other countries, but Endemic animals are only found in New Zealand, or the country they are Native or Endemic to.

After that we visited Te Papa for only one hour! I ran around with my friends Arden, Hadlee and Arden's mum, Rowan. We went on the Earthquake Simulator, but it wasn't to scary because I was expecting it. We watched a 3D video about Giant Squid, and when we left the area with the video screening, we looked at the roof to find the skeleton of the largest Giant Squid. I'm not sure of the size, though. On estimate I would say 3m long. We took a photo in front of an artificial tree and left.

We visited the National Library next. We split into two groups. We based our visit on Gallipoli and WWI/World War One. My groups tour guide showed us some photos of the trench life for the soldiers. Then we looked around that area before she took us down stairs to choose a photo to base a short scene about in front of the rest of the group. I did a scene about drinking tea and eating a biscuit with Amelia and Casey. Then we went back upstairs to watch a power-point about trench life and try to decode some pages of old diaries soldiers wrote during the war (they had already been decoded and typed onto the back). Then both groups came into the middle and found a partner (mine was Mya) then started a hunt for the answers to some Q's on a piece of paper. When we were finished we marked our answers, packed up and left.

We went to the H2OXTREME pools to finish the day. It was so fun. There was: a river ride, a wave pool, fountains and three hydro-slides! There was a long, twisty, fast, pitch black slide called Darkness Falls. A short, light blue one called Icy Blue and a extremely fast, 45-degree yellow slide with no roof called Speed Slide. I really enjoyed it.

Then we went home played on the pillow until we got called for dinner. Then we had showers and went to bed.

Day 3/Tuesday

We got at 7 and got ready for the day. We left for town around 9.

We first went to the Carter Observatory, a place where you learn about space. We talked about thing in space, like planets, asteroids and meteorites. Then we had a nosy around the exhibits. After that we watched two movies on a fancy screen on the roof, one movie was called Back To The Moon For Good, and another called Google Lunar X-prize. Then we looked at the constellations in the night sky. There were some strange ones up there. After that we thanked the people who worked there and left.

Then we caught a cable car to Lambton Quay to get to Parliament. When we got there we had to go though metal detectors to be aloud in. We met an MP who worked there and she told us about her job. Then we watched part of Question Time. It got really loud. We went down to the basement to learn about how the building withstands earthquakes. It was quite interesting.

We then went to ONTV&Media. My group was making a live news broadcast for Far Away Land. I was Sound Operator for the show. We went through a few times before recording. When we were finished we watched the show on a TV. Then we went downstairs to meet the other group. They had been making a short 3D movie.

When we got back to camp we did the usual stuff, well by usual I mean what we did on Sunday and Monday.

Day 4/Wednesday

We did our morning routine and left for Wellington Zoo. It was awesome there. We saw Lizards, Penguins, Red Pandas, Giraffes, Mere cats, Kangaroos, Porcupine, etc. We even saw a Tiger getting fed. My friend bought me a Kiwi key chain with a compass at the gift shop. It is so cute.

This was one of my favourite parts. SNORKELLING!!! I was in the second group to get in the water. While my group was waiting for our turn, we played in the sand. Some people found some ropes. There was like seven of them. We spent almost the whole time digging and pulling. We think that they are anchors for crayfish or something like that. They were deep under the sand, buried so far down. After a while the other team started coming in from the water and so we went and got dressed into our togs. When we were ready we got into the wet suits, they were had to get into. I accidentally put it on backwards so I had to restart. Then we put on flippers, goggles and a snorkel and walked backwards into the water with our partner and an adult. My partner was Grace and the adult was Kacy's mum, Simone. When we got in the water we had to test our goggles and snorkels to make sure they weren't faulty. I breathed in salt water and told Simone. She told me I'm wasn't wearing it right. I adjusted it and tried again and sure enough, it worked. We swam further into the water. We saw huge fish, tiny fish, blue fish, gray fish, starfish, paua, slugs and anemone. It was so cool. When we came back to shore we got dressed and walked to the building with a lot of cool aquariums. There was an aquarium that you could put your hand in and play with the things in there, like starfish and sea shells. They were feeding the octopus, but I was too short and couldn't see it over the other people. Then we went back to camp and did the usual stuff.

Day 5/Thursday

First we went to the Holocaust Museum. I probably don't need to explain, the title is self explanatory. We met a child survivor of the Holocaust. Her name is Vera. She told us about her experience and why she came to New Zealand. We then read some books and looked at some pictures. Then a group of people went downstairs to look at some buttons. Each button represented a child who died during the holocaust. There were 1.5 million buttons, all collected by primary school students. Then we went back upstairs to the rest of the group. Soon it was time to go.

We had lunch on the water front then went to the Wellington Museum to learn about the Wahine disaster. The Wahine disaster was when a large ship called the Wahine was caught in a large storm and crashed and sunk. Quite a few people died, but a lot more survived.

After that we left for ONTV&Media. My group was going to make Android Apps. Our teacher was called Carl. We all made the same apps. The first app we made was a 'Stroke the Kitty' app. When you stroke the cat on the screen, it meows. The challenge was to get it to purr/vibrate. I succeeded. The next one we made was a colouring app. You would poke the colour you want then draw with your finger on the screen. The colours I had were pink, red, blue, green, yellow, orange and white (or as I called it, Eraser). When you shook the screen, it would clear. The last app we made was a  magic8ball app. We made it so there was a picture of a pool ball with the number 8 on it, and when you shook it, it would go cha-ching then say and show your answer. It was really fun, but soon we had to leave. We did the usual and went to bed.

Week 7, Term 1

This week I have almost finished my Gallipoli report. I have learnt a lot about ANZAC Day. Yesterday we did another math test. Next week we will be on camp in Wellington so that means no school for a week, technically. We will be leaving on Sunday morning and coming back on Friday afternoon. In total we will probably spend 16 hours on a bus. I am very excited. In my cabin there will be Amelia, Casey and I. When we go on outings like visiting the zoo, I will be in a group with Rowan/Arden's mum, Arden and Hadlee. It will be lots of fun. I have finished reading "Ghost House" and can't wait for "Ghost Hour", the sequel coming out this year. In the meantime, I am reading a book called "Stella Star".

Week 6

We have just done the Powhiri for the Makuhari students from Japan. There were only 5 girls! Three students are staying with people in my class. Two boys and one girl. For writing we have been doing a report about Gallipoli, because on the 25th of April (ANZAC day) it will have been exactly 100 years since World War 1. I have finished all of the maths from the math text-books so I will now be using mathletics or prodigy, a new math website, or at least its new to me.

Week 2

Hello, it is the second week in term two.
I made my blog yesterday and auditioned for choir on Thursday and rock band vocalist on Tuesday, but I didn't make it into the call-backs for rock band and I am not sure about choir. I have learnt how to do a dive into water. Amelia and Oksana helped to teach me, but I am still quite bad. For math, I was put in the Orange group, which is group number three. I need to learn Prime Factors and Square Numbers.

Hello

Welcome to my blog, I'm a year 7 at TAI.
